Dr. Tully Speaker dedicated 41 years to the School of Pharmacy, where he taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and toxicology. He also served as a primary advisor to many doctoral students, mentoring them to successful completion of their degrees.
He earned a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University, a Master of Science from the University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.
His research focused on non-benzenoid aromatic compounds and the microencapsulation of pharmacologic agents and vaccines. Over the course of his career, he authored numerous journal publications and held multiple U.S. and international patents.
