Frank Nice ’67, PhD

Dr. Frank Nice is a 1967 graduate of Temple University School of Pharmacy (TUSP). He earned his MS in pharmacy administration from the University of Arizona and an MS and PhD in public administration from the University of Southern California. Dr. Nice holds a certification in public health pharmacy.

Dr. Nice practiced as a consultant, lecturer and an author on medications and breastfeeding for more than 45 years. He retired from the US Public Health Service after 30 years of distinguished service as a Commissioned Officer and pharmacist. Dr. Nice practiced at the National Institutes of Health's Neuroscience Program as assistant program director and served as project manager at the FDA.

He recently retired after 43 years of government service and currently is self-employed as a consultant, president of Nice Breastfeeding LLC, and president of Pacific United LLC. 

Dr. Nice has published Nonprescription Drugs for Nursing Mother, 2nd Edition; The Galactagogue Recipe Book; Recreational Drugs and Drugs Used to Treat Addicted Mothers; Impact on Pregnancy and Breastfeeding; and Haiti Beyond Belief. Dr. Nice has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles on the use of prescription medications, over-the-counter (OTC) products, and herbals during breastfeeding.

Dr. Nice has organized and participated in more than 60 medical missions to the country of Haiti.
