Ronald Gautieri, PhD, served as a professor at Temple for 35 years. He was Temple-made, as he earned both pharmacy degrees at TUSP: a BSPharm in 1957 and a PhD in 1960.

He served as a professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences as a pharmacology instructor and as director of graduate education.

He is remembered as a much-loved scholar, faculty member and mentor. Dr. Gautieri was the long-standing dedicated faculty advisor for the Kappa Psi professional fraternity. His role in shepherding PhD candidates through their training is the reason his memorial funds are specifically tied to graduate research. The Dr. Ronald F. Gautieri Memorial Fund was established in 1996 to support research projects in the School of Pharmacy.
