Dr. Gallagher invited to Trinidad to teach antimicrobial stewardship.

Dr. Jason Gallagher traveled to Port of Spain, Trinidad to teach pharmacists from around the Caribbean islands about performing antimicrobial stewardship. Run by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the 5-day Advanced Course in Antimicrobial Stewardship was taught by Dr. Gallagher and Dr. Hayley Wickens from the U.K. National Health Service (NHS) to pharmacists interested in improving the use of antibiotics at their hospitals and clinics. CARPHA intends to administer the course several more times due to its success.
