In 2015, the Temple University School of Pharmacy Alumni Association Board of Directors decided to honor Dean Peter H. Doukas, on the occasion of his 50 years of service, 25 years as Dean, to the School of Pharmacy, by sponsoring a campaign to create a named endowed scholarship for Peter.  The effort was an instant success, raising the required minima, $50,000 for an endowment, in less than a year.  Nearly four years later, alumni and friends continue to donate to the Dean Peter H. Doukas Endowed Scholarship Fund and the fund has topped a quarter million in donations since 2015.

Dean Doukas was humbled and touched by the outpouring of support to his named scholarship from the outset.  He recently announced that he and his wife Irene have pledged $25,000 to the fund.  He thanks the entire Temple Unversity School of Pharmacy family for creating this endowment.

This scholarship provides assistance to students who have financial need, are in good academic standing, and are residents of the states of Pennsylvania or New York.
