Drop/Add Policy for RAQA Courses (RAQA)

Please be aware of University policies regarding adding/dropping courses. Deadlines are slightly different for weeknight and weekend classes, so please read the appropriate section below.

Course Withdrawal Form (Email to QARAREG@temple.edu)

WEEKNIGHT CLASSES
You will receive a full refund for a dropped weeknight class only if you drop your RAQA course BEFORE the third class meeting. You are responsible for submitting the official Withdrawal Form to the RAQA Office before the class meets a third time. If you do not officially drop the class by the third meeting, you will be required to pay tuition in full, even though you will receive a W (withdrawal) for the course. Please do not assume that you are dropped from a class simply by not attending. Once you are officially registered, you remain on the class list until the RAQA Office processes a withdrawal. It is your responsibility to forward the Course Withdrawal Form (available above) to the RAQA Office, not your instructor's. The date on the fax or on-line submission will serve as proof of when the form was received by the RAQA Office. It is your proof that you dropped the course by the proper date.

Before you register for a class, please determine whether you feel you will actually be able to finish it. In the past, some students have left positions midway through the semester and find they are no longer eligible for tuition reimbursement from their former company or no longer have access to the site to attend a class. Temple University's withdrawal policy is still the same in these circumstances: students are responsible for all tuition after attending the first two meetings of a weeknight class. The University is not responsible for reimbursing tuition because a student changes companies.

The third meeting of a weeknight or weekday course is defined as the third meeting date that is listed on the official Schedule of Classes. There are no exceptions to the Drop Policy, even if a student registers for a course on the second or third meeting date, since recordings are provided as needed.

WEEKEND CLASSES:

You will receive a full refund for a dropped weekend class only if you drop your RAQA course by the end of the first class meeting. You are responsible for submitting the official Course Withdrawal Form to the RAQA Office before the class meets a second time. If you do not officially drop the class by the second meeting, you will be required to pay tuition in full, even though you will receive a W (withdrawal) for the course. Please do not assume that you are dropped from a class simply by not attending. Once you are officially registered, you remain on the class list until the RAQA Office processes a withdrawal form. It is your responsibility to forward the Course Withdrawal Form (available above) to the RAQA Office, not your instructor's. DEADLINE for COURSE REGISTRATION

You should register for RAQA courses before the semester begins. If you register after the first class meeting, late fees may be imposed. Sorry, but we cannot retroactively register students who do not enroll by the second class meeting, nor can we delete late penalties.
