Welcome, Class of 2030!
The Pharmacy Readiness Education Program (PREP) is designed to prepare you for the rigors of pharmacy school through a structured, supportive program. It's your chance to refresh your knowledge and boost your skills before you start. It's also a chance to work with your classmates, meet students in their PY2 and PY3 years, and get a feel for what pharmacy school is really like.
Attendance at PREP Week is strongly associated with student academic success. Because we are committed to your success, attendance at PREP Week is mandatory for all incoming PY1 students.
What to Expect During PREP Week
- Morning sessions focus on essential study strategies, time management skills, and learning techniques that will help you succeed throughout the PharmD curriculum.
- Afternoon sessions provide a comprehensive science refresher covering foundational concepts in chemistry, biology, anatomy, and physiology that are critical to your first-year courses.
A full PREP schedule is coming soon!
Pre-Pharmacy Science Assessment Test
During PREP Week, you will complete a Pre-Pharmacy Science Assessment Test to establish your baseline science knowledge. This low-stakes assessment helps us identify areas where you may benefit from additional support.
Important benefit: Having access to this test and reviewing the content will give you a significant advantage when a similar exam is administered as part of your Medicinal Chemistry course later in the year. Think of this as an opportunity to preview key concepts and identify your strengths and areas for growth early.
Next Steps
Take your first step toward success by registering to confirm your attendance at PREP Week.
If you have a conflict and are unable to attend, please use the same form to notify us and explain your circumstances. We will work with you to find solutions whenever possible.
