A generous matching gift opportunity is now available through a new campaign launched by Deborah and Bob Schueren, BS '85. The couple has committed up to $125,000 toward the Schueren Family 125th Anniversary Scholarship Fund - an endowed scholarship supporting second-year Pharmacy students with demonstrated financial need. The $125,000 pledge was chosen intentionally as a nod to the school's 125 years of excellence, with a combined fundraising target of $250,000.

Giving back to Temple Pharmacy is nothing new for the Schuerens. Their philanthropic relationship with the school began with the establishment of the Class of 1985 Scholarship Fund, seeded with an initial $25,000 gift that was subsequently matched and built into a permanent endowment providing annual scholarship awards. They have continued to grow that fund through additional contributions and have further invested in three other perpetual scholarship funds.

Bob launched his career after receiving his BS in Pharmacy from Temple, going on to earn a distinguished reputation across life sciences, drug development, and diagnostics. Deborah built her own accomplished career within the biotechnology sector.

Today, the Schuerens are extending an open invitation to everyone connected to Temple Pharmacy. Each dollar contributed will be matched one-for-one — up to $125,000 — meaning every gift is instantly doubled and goes directly toward building $250,000 in new endowed scholarship support.

Donate now and help us reach $125,000 in honor of 125 years. Double your legacy today.
