Class of 2017 Students Receive the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) Scholarships

Ejike Chukwukere and Taylor Ryan Gibbs both 2017 PharmD Candidates each received an NCPDP Scholarship. They distinguished themselves from their peers during a 6-week ambulatory care Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation which provided opportunity to provide patient care services in two different settings.  The first involved an internal medicine residents’ clinic. The second practice setting involved a unique opportunity to help create a Medication Therapy Management service in collaboration with the Temple University Hospital outpatient pharmacy. These students helped to pilot a new patient care opportunity. They demonstrated creativity and problem solving skills in order to shape the opportunity and identify areas for quality improvement.
