PPA Presents Jan Kitzen of Collegeville with the George H. Searight Community Service Award
Harrisburg, PA --- The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) recently presented Jan Kitzen, PhD, RPh with the George H. Searight Community Service Award during PPA’s 2016 Annual Conference held at the Crowne Plaza Philadelphia- King of Prussia on September 24, 2016 in King of Prussia, PA.
The George H. Searight Community Service Award is presented to an individual who has shown outstanding devotion and service to PPA, and his or her local association, and for outstanding community service, which has enhanced the image of the profession of pharmacy.
Jan Kitzen received his B.S. degree in pharmacy from Temple University and earned his PhD in pharmacology from the University of Iowa.
Since 2013, Kitzen has been serving as the Event Manager for the BucksMont Pharmacists Association where he has organized numerous, well attended dinner events along with several meetings that featured continuing education accreditation - all of which have become critical to BMPA’s revival and ongoing growth and success.
He is also a member of the Temple University School of Pharmacy Alumni Association Board of Directors and has been involved in the March of Dimes, the American Cancer society, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
