Current degree program: PharmD

Projected graduation year: 2027

Where did you grow up? Marietta, NY / Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Where did you complete your prerequisite courses? Community College of Philadelphia

Tell us about yourself: I’m a PharmD candidate at Temple University who’s passionate about growing as a leader and giving back to the pharmacy community through mentorship, service, and student involvement. I stay active in several organizations and enjoy helping create opportunities that bring people together and support professional development. I’m especially interested in medical affairs, oncology, and patient-centered care, and I’ve been lucky to gain experience through internships and projects in those areas. Before pharmacy school, I trained and performed in professional ballet for seven years, which shaped my work ethic, creativity, and resilience in everything I do today.

Why did you choose TUSP over other pharmacy schools? I chose TUSP because it was the most affordable and accessible for a returning adult student.

What do you hope to do after graduation? Work in the pharmaceutical industry

What are you currently reading/watching/listening to? Great British Baking Show is on constantly in my house. Otherwise I’m reading a lot of textbooks!

What do you like to do for fun? I’m quite a homebody, so my favorite pastime is making a delicious meal for my boyfriend and me, and curling up with the Great British Baking Show!

What's your favorite thing about pharmacy school? As cliché as it sounds, my cohort is my favorite thing about pharmacy school and TUSP. I find so much support from my peers and I have thoroughly enjoyed being on this journey with them!

What's the hardest thing about pharmacy school and how do you deal with it? Having fewer free hours in the day overall has been the most difficult for me. Between classes, projects, organizations, studying and working part time, I find myself struggling to make it all fit! I’m still trying to find the right balance, but what’s been helpful is not putting too much focus on things that don’t have a big impact academically or socially.

What advice do you have for prospective students? Pursuing a PharmD is no small commitment, and it comes with both responsibility and incredible opportunity. The many paths available after graduation are exciting, but they require dedication, consistency, and perseverance. The more you invest in the experience academically, professionally, and personally, the more doors will begin to open for you. Stay curious, stay motivated, and trust that your effort will truly shape where this degree can take you.
