Simran Mangat, PharmD '24; Temple Pharmacy professor and interim chair of pharmacy practice Nicole Sifontis, PharmD; and Oluwatoyin Fadeyibi, PharmD '08
Two Temple University School of Pharmacy alumni were recognized for outstanding professional achievement at the Temple University’s annual awards gala last week, each earning honors that reflect the breadth and depth of impact that a Temple Pharmacy education can inspire.
Dr. Oluwatoyin (Toyin) Fadeyibi, PharmD '08, MPH, was named a 2026 recipient of the Gallery of Success Award, one of the Temple Alumni’s most prestigious honors. A public health pharmacist, she currently serves as the director of pharmacy initiatives for the City of Philadelphia’s Community Behavioral Health System. Dr. Fadeyibi has built a career at the intersection of pharmacy and public health, developing programs and policies designed to improve mental health outcomes for some of Philadelphia's most vulnerable residents. Her influence extends well beyond her current professional role: she co-founded and co-directed a behavioral health pharmacy residency program, has served as a dedicated mentor to students and early-career pharmacists, and founded Oaks of Hope International, a nonprofit committed to bringing hope and healing to women affected by addiction, trafficking, and abuse. >>>> Read more of Dr. Fadeyibi’s story
Simran Mangat, PharmD '24, was honored as a 2026 Temple University 30 Under 30 Science, Tech, and Health Innovator - a recognition that celebrates Temple alumni who are driving meaningful change in their fields before the age of 30. Just two years after graduation, Dr. Mangat is already making a significant impact at Biogen, one of the world's leading biotechnology companies. Following a postdoctoral fellowship, he is now a senior medical manager making a large-scale impact on patients’ lives through his work supporting the company’s nephrology pipeline. His pharmaceutical career has been guided by a commitment to transforming healthcare and keeping patients at the center, as a tribute to his mother. >>>>Read more of Dr. Mangat’s story
