Class of 2018 Welcomed at White Coat Ceremony
The School of Pharmacy held its annual White Coat Ceremony on Tuesday, September 9th. This year 155 students from the class of 2018 received their white coats, school pins and recited the Oath of a Pharmacist for the first time in public. This ritual welcomes students into the school and into the profession of pharmacy.
Alumnus Robert Frankil '85, delivered the keynote address, entitled "Advocacy and Action: Prescription for Success" Mr. Frankil was awarded the 2014 Distinguished Pharmacist Practitioner Award for his accomplishments within the pharmacy profession. Nicole Hollinger '15, was awarded the 2014 Pharmacy Student Health Care Professional Award, and presented the Student Welcome.

A reception, sponsored by ACME/Savon, RiteAid Corporation, and the Philadelphia Association of Retail Druggists, followed the ceremony. The School of Pharmacy Alumni Association gifted each incoming student with a reusable water bottle and The Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association gifted each student with a metal bookmark.
