School of Pharmacy Alumni Association Welcomes New Officers
The School of Pharmacy welcomes new Alumni Board Members who were recently elected, serving a two year term starting July 1st. The Board of Directors of Temple University School of Pharmacy serve as the School's strategic advisory council in key areas of operation and planning. Its mission is to support the School's institutional advancement in terms of research rankings, curricular innovations, finances, strategic planning and other areas. Congratulations to the following alumni who have been awarded this esteemed position. They will serve until 2018.
OLGA WOLOSZCZUK, B.S., R.Ph.’85, has worked as a Medication Safety Pharmacist at Aria Health since 2009. Woloszczuk has held numerous positions in her career including Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist at Frankford Hospital and as a Clinical Pharmacist at Delaware Valley Medical Center. She is a Member and Chair of the Medication Safety Subcommittee and Committee chair for the Anticoagulation Task Force. Olga is also the Chairman for the School of Pharmacy Student Relations Committee.
MICHELLE M. von VITAL, PharmD, R.Ph.’08 is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Coatesville VA Medical Center. Von Vital has a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She has served as a Clinical Pharmacist at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and was class president in 2008. Michelle is also a member of the Mid-Atlantic College of Clinical Pharmacy and Wharton Women in Business.
LAWRENCE P. CAREY, PharmD, R.Ph. ’89 and ’93 is currently an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Temple University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Carey has served as a Clinical Pharmacist at Temple University Hospital and Adjunct Faculty at Philadelphia University. Carey has received numerous awards such as Student Society Faculty of the Year Awards and Mylan Pharmaceuticals Excellence in Pharmacy Award. He served on Temple University School of Pharmacy’s Continuing Education Steering Committee from 1995-2001 and DVSHP Board of Directors since 2013.
ROBERT FRANKIL, B.Sc., R.Ph. , ‘85 is the President of Sellersville Pharmacy and Sellersville Pharmacy at Penn Foundation, he has served in this position since1988. Frankil served as Vice President and Pharmacist in Charge at Skippack Pharmacy for 27 years. Robert is currently on the PA State Board of Pharmacy and serves on the PPA Executive Council. He also sits on the Montgomery County Pharmacy Association Board of Directors and the PARD Board of Directors.
ADRIENNE T. TERICO, PharmD, R.Ph. , BCPS., ’12 is an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist at Aria Health. She is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. Adrienne has received numerous honors including being a member of the Temple University School of Pharmacy Honors Program, the Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honor Society and receiving the Henry Fisher Award for highest pharmacology average in 2012.
