Temple University School of Pharmacy awarded $20,000 grant from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) for a proposal developed by Dr. Marissa Cavaretta and Dr. Tina Tran that focuses on expanding harm reduction strategies to help mitigate opioid overdoses. The project proposes creating a rigorous community-focused Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) curriculum for pharmacy students to learn about and participate in harm reduction strategies in the local community.
