Students enrolled in these programs at Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) will pursue two separate degrees.The first year will be completed at AUUP, with the second year at Temple University (1+1).
Our dual degree program is intended for Amity University students who are interested in careers in pharmaceutical research in academia, industry, government, and other research and development environments. Students will need to receive an F-1 visa to attend the program in person in the United States.
Applicants must have a B.Pharm or a WES evaluated and equivalent degree in life sciences.
You can choose one of the three degree programs. Upon successful completion of two years of in-person studies you will be receiving two separate degrees - one from Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) and one from Temple University (TU).
- M.Sc. (Drug Delivery) at AUUP / MS (Drug Delivery) in TU
- M.Sc. (Drug Discovery) at AUUP / MS (Drug Discovery) in TU
- M.Sc. (Pharmacokinetics) at AUUP / MS (Pharmacokinetics) in TU
Students will be required to earn at least 70% of the total credits at AUUP (54-56 credits) and 30% of the total credits at TU (18-24 credits) with 6-12 credits transferred from AUUP to TU and 18-24 credits transferred from TU to AUUP.
Each student accepted to this dual master’s program will receive a 24.5% tuition discount on out-of-state tuition rates set by Temple University. Check here for current rates.
Students are also responsible for room and board; program fees; transportation; travel; any visa fees; and other costs that may arise.
The program can be completed in two years. Students enrolled in these programs at AUUP will study for two semesters (odd/even/summer semester) during their first year of study. In the second year, students will be transferred to TU for the third and fourth semesters (fall and spring).

At AUUP, the fee for the first and second semesters of will be paid in advance of Rs. 140000 each.
When students transfer to TU, they must pay fees for semesters 3 and 4 based on the number of credits registered for each semester. A bill will be provided prior to the start of the semester and must be paid by the deadline.
Students who enroll in the dual degree program have the opportunity to earn two degrees from two highly regarded and respected universities. The program offers a direct pathway to enrollment at Temple University, and your time at AUUP will prepare you well for success at TU. The transfer will be simple and completing your first year at AUUP will save you the cost of a year of study in the United States.
Completing an international degree will expose to new ideas, world renowned faculty, two distinct cultures, and provide an introduction to the highly competitive pharmaceutical industry.
The TU office located in Mumbai, India is available to assist with the F1 visa process. However, students will be responsible for maintaining records, scheduling appointments, paying fees, etc.
Support for international students is avaiable through three key offices — Global Programs, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), and International Student Affairs (ISA) — each with its own focus and expertise.

F-1 students may be eligible for optional practical training (OPT), which is temporary employment (12 months) that is directly related to an F-1 student’s major area of study. Graduates who receive science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees may apply for a 24-month extension of their post-completion OPT. Graduates of this program will be eligible for the extension.
This additional time on your visa is not guaranteed and must be applied for with the United States government. ISA can assist with this process.
No – our non-thesis-based MS programs are highly collaborative, where faculty mentor students throughout their time at Temple, ensuring that each student receives one-on-one training, mentoring and advising. The curriculum includes core courses, elective courses, and hands-on experience with cutting-edge research to provide innovative treatment for patients.
Temple University School of Pharmacy is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in what is considered the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Graduate student housing is available through the university on a limited basis, but private housing opportunities are abundant in the surrounding region. If students live in the city, public transportation is accessible for attending classes and traveling to university amenities.

The Dual Master's Degree programs are 1+1. After successfully completing the first year at AUUP and deciding not to continue their studies at TU, students will exit the program by getting a Post-Graduate Diploma in the respective programs.
At its sole discretion, AUUP may offer or reassign you to a new program where you can continue and complete your studies. You must pay the program's appropriate fees.
