Temple University School of Pharmacy PY3 student Caroline Petrie has been selected as a recipient of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Student Leadership Award for 2025–2026, one of only 12 students chosen nationally for the honor.
The ASHP Student Leadership Award recognizes pharmacy students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, a deep commitment to health-system pharmacy, and a meaningful impact on advancing patient care and the profession. Petrie was selected from candidates across the country based on these criteria.
"Receiving the ASHP Student Leadership Award is such an honor," said Petrie. "It reflects both my passion for pharmacy and the incredible mentors who have helped guide me along the way. I'm especially grateful for all of the opportunities at TUSP that have shaped my growth, and I'm excited to continue developing as an APPE student while making a meaningful impact on patient care."
Nima Patel-Shori, PharmD, BCACP, Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice and faculty advisor for Temple's Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP), a pharmacy student organization affiliated with ASHP, expressed pride in Petrie's achievement on behalf of the entire school community.
"Caroline exemplifies what it means to be a Temple Pharmacy student—she leads with purpose and inspires everyone around her," said Patel-Shori. "This recognition is so well-deserved, and our whole community is incredibly proud of her."
Petrie's recognition is a testament to the culture of excellence and professional development that Temple Pharmacy works to cultivate in every student.
