Residency Programs

Go beyond in pharmacy with a Temple residency.

Temple's iconic faculty members lead PGY-2 pharmacy residency programs in Ambulatory Care and Internal Medicine.

Located on the Temple University Health Sciences Center Campus with Temple University Hospital, its attendant clinics, and the Temple Outpatient Pharmacy, our residents collaborate with the physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in settings that allow for an inspiring and challenging educational and clinical experience.

Accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Temple's pharmacy residency programs open doors to careers at major health systems nationwide.

PGY-2 pharmacy residency programs build on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY-1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in specialized areas of practice. PGY-2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY-2 pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification.
