Research Focus & Activities

Dr. Carey is a residency-trained, registered pharmacist with over 35 years of experience in clinical practice as well as in education, training and consultation. He currently serves as a clinical professor and vice dean of strategic planning and assessment.

In addition to his work in pharmacy practice and with pharmacy students, he has served as faculty, associate director, and director of the Physician Assistant Program at Philadelphia (now Thomas Jefferson) University. His teaching interests also include educating nurse practitioners and midwives in pharmacotherapy issues, and he has lectured extensively to these groups throughout his career.
