Where did you grow up?  Philadelphia

Where did you complete your prerequisite courses? Community College of Philadelphia

Tell us about yourself: I am someone who loves to be on the move. I’m really into the outdoors and enjoy hiking, but I also love exploring the city and finding new spots to hang out with my friends when we aren't in class.

Why did you choose TUSP over other pharmacy schools? While I applied to several schools, TUSP stood out immediately during the interview process. I was treated with such genuine warmth by the faculty and students I met. Everyone presented themselves in a way that was welcoming and kind, rather than intimidating. It gave me a strong sense of belonging before I even accepted my offer.

Did you work in a pharmacy before applying to/starting pharmacy school? Yes - I worked in both community and hospital pharmacy settings before starting school. What drove me to this profession was viewing pharmacy as a complex puzzle. I was fascinated by the challenge of figuring out how the clinical knowledge, workflow logistics, and patient needs all fit together to deliver the best care.

What do you hope to do after graduation? I hope to pursue clinical as well as academia

What's your favorite thing about pharmacy school? My favorite part is the community, specifically the dynamic between students and faculty. The professors talk to us like equals and are genuinely receptive to our input. It feels like they aren't just teaching students; they are actively building up their future colleagues.

What's the hardest thing about pharmacy school and how do you deal with it? Imposter syndrome is my biggest detractor. When I feel overwhelmed, I deal with it by leaning on my faith to find perspective. It helps me remember that my worth isn't defined by a single grade, and it gives me the strength to keep moving forward

What do you like to do in your free time? I have a hobby of starting new hobbies so my interests are always evolving. Right now, I am really focusing on writing and taking long nature walks to stay active and creative outside of school.

What are you currently reading/watching/listening to? I listen to a lot of worship music to stay grounded, and I enjoy R&B when I want to relax.

What advice do you have for prospective students?  Relax and give yourself grace. It is easy to feel intimidated, but don't let your current lack of knowledge stop you from asking questions and learning. The experts in this field have been doing it for years, so don't compare your 'day one' to their 'year twenty. Weaknesses are just strengths mismeasured. One persons stubborness is another persons tenacity. Leverage the innate talents you were blessed with and challenge yourself where you feel you are lacking. Do not take criticism to heart.
