Current degree program: PharmD

Projected graduation year: 2027

Where did you grow up? New Jersey

Where did you complete your prerequisite courses? I earned a bachelor's in Cell Biology & Neuroscience at Rutger's University

Tell us about yourself: I was born and raised in New Jersey, but I am Nigerian by origin. Growing up I took a lot of dance classes, and even some acrobat classes, but now I just go to the gym to stay active. I enjoy traveling, my most recent trip was to Ireland and I tried Guinness for the first time. I also like hanging out with friends and binge-watching movies/shows in my free-time.

Why did you choose TUSP over other pharmacy schools? I chose TUSP over other pharmacy schools because it is close to home and is located in an area to make a direct impact on the surrounding community.

Did you work in a pharmacy before applying to/starting pharmacy school? Yes - I worked as a pharmacy intern for CVS, and it was honestly the patient care interactions that inspired me to pursue pharmacy. I appreciate how multifaceted the profession is, and I know that I am capable of achieving all my aspirations through pharmacy.

What do you hope to do after graduation? Ambulatory care

What's your favorite thing about pharmacy school? About pharmacy school, it is how committed the professors are to helping us learn & grow. Specifically about TUSP, it would be the community here & the friends that I have made.

What's the hardest thing about pharmacy school and how do you deal with it? Balancing the coursework would honestly be the hardest part. I deal with it by planning ahead and just taking things one day at a time.

What do you like to do in your free time? Go for a walk and trying new restaurants with friends.

What are you currently reading/watching/listening to? Currently binge-watching Scandal.

What advice do you have for prospective students? You didn't make it this far in life, not to succeed. So don't be afraid to step into new things and step out of your comfort zone, that's the best way to grow. I recently heard someone say that school doesn't get easier, you just become stronger as a person. This resonated a lot with me becuase school can get overwhelming, but I remind myself that its shaping my into the person I hope to become.
