Tell us about yourself: Dedicated pharmacy student, certified pharmacy technician with over 7 years of experience in high-volume retail pharmacy settings. Skilled in medication safety, immunization support, and navigating insurance processes. Passionate about infectious diseases, public health, and committed to integrating evidence-based clinical knowledge to optimize patient care as a PharmD candidate.
Why did you choose TUSP over other pharmacy schools? It's family-orientated; the positive competition yet friendly environment makes it so welcoming for students.
What do you hope to do after graduation? I would like to complete PGY1 and PGY2 residencies specializing in Infectious Disease.
Did you have experience working in a pharmacy before TUSP? Yes, I was a Pharmacy Technician. It inspired me to become a pharmacist because I was an essential worker during the peak of the recent pandemic. Seeing the world collectively come together and create the world's first mRNA vaccination gave me joy. In addition, I saw how important pharmacies are in terms of vaccination support to patients.
What's your favorite thing about pharmacy school? My favorite thing about the pharmacy school and TUSP are the peers that I have gotten to know. They are now my very good friends and I study and hang out with them everyday.
What's the hardest thing about pharmacy school and how do you deal with it? The hardest thing about pharmacy school is the amount of material you have to go through, learn and apply in practices. I stay up almost everyday to learn everything as I study very slowly.
What do you like to do in your free time? I enjoy hiking, swords training, soccer and video games.
What are you currently reading/watching/listening to? I listen to lofi hip hop focus music. I enjoy watching One Piece (Anime).
What advice do you have for prospective students? The path is already set for you, you just have to walk it. Pharmacy school is tough work, but it will super rewarding.
