Matthew Mansour

Current degree program: PharmD

Projected graduation year: 2028

Where did you grow up? Atlantic City, NJ

Where did you complete your prerequisite courses? I graduated from Rutger's University with a BS in Cell Biology and Neuroscience

Tell us about yourself: I am Egyptian with a love of working on cars. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family - from traveling around the state of New Jersey to spending late nights joking around and enjoying my time off.

Why did you choose TUSP over other pharmacy schools? I chose TUSP due to the community and the sense of the family that was clearly displayed here, especially because of the interactions of the faculty with the students and vice versa. It was truly eye-opening when considering how competitive it is to get into graduate school.

What do you hope to do after graduation? Clinical pharmacy

Did you have experience working in a pharmacy before TUSP? Yes - I worked as a technician. It truly made fall in love with the career and how you can help the community in different ways.

What's your favorite thing about pharmacy school? My favorite thing about pharmacy school is the material. For TUSP, my favorite thing is the family that you build with the faculty and the classmates.

What's the hardest thing about pharmacy school and how do you deal with it? It's the feeling of wondering if you truly do belong. I deal with this feeling by constantly talking to friends and professors and hearing directly from that that I DO belong here.

What advice do you have for prospective students? Do not be afraid to approach us and talk to current pharmacy students, especially at TUSP. Everyone is willing to help and talk to you!
