Christopher Van Vessem joined Temple Univerisity School of Pharmacy in 2005 as the Executive Director of Development. In 2017, he was promoted to the Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations and served in that role until his retirement in May 2025. He continues to serve the school on a part-time basis in this capacity.
Christopher's primary focus at the School of Pharmacy was to identify, qualify, cultivate, and negotiate five figure and above gifts from the school’s pool of major donor prospects. He was responsible for all aspects of fundraising and alumni relations at TUSP since 2017. Over the course of his 20-year tenure at the School of Pharmacy Chris successfully raised $28 million.
Additionally, Chris served as liaison to the school’s Board of Visitors and its Alumni Association Board of Directors.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University at Buffalo in 1986 and his Master of Science in Education from Elmira College in 2004.
