125 Heroes: Elaine Muraresku

Elaine Muraresku

Elaine Muraresku worked at Temple University School of Pharmacy for 33 years. She started in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, assisting the faculty in their everyday needs. At times, that even included watching their children so they could lecture (which she totally enjoyed).

Eventually, Elaine began supporting the Office of Experiential Education where she worked with students during their last year while they were on their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience rotations.

Elaine was widely known for the dedication and care she brought to assisting and coordinating pharmacy students’ rotations, working tirelessly to ensure students were thoughtfully placed and supported throughout this pivotal stage of their education. Beyond her professionalism and attention to detail, it was the relationships she built that truly set her apart. Elaine took a personal interest in every student who traveled near and far to study at Temple, offering reassurance, guidance, and a welcoming presence that made Temple feel like home.

Long after her retirement, graduates continue to remember Elaine with deep gratitude and affection, recalling her as a constant, kind person who played an essential role in both their academic rotation success and personal journey.
