The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy is the national professional association of pharmacists and other health care practitioners who serve society by the application of sound medication management principle and strategies to improve health care for all. The Academy’s members develop and provide a diversified range of clinical, educational and business management ser vices and strategies on behalf of the more than 200 million Americans covered by managed care pharmacy benefit. The mission of this recently formed Student chapter of AMCP is to encourage the education, development and promotion of the principle and practices of managed care pharmacy. A few of the purposes of the TUSP-AMCP chapter are to encourage the education and support the advancement of managed care pharmacy, enhance the common academic and profession interests of the Chapter members, and to offer professional opportunities and leadership within managed care pharmacy.
