Dr. Talitha Pulvino Named Temple School of Pharmacy's First Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Talitha Pulvino, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, has been named the Temple University School of Pharmacy's first Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), effective September 1, 2022. Dr. Pulvino will continue to serve in her faculty position.
In this new role, Dr. Pulvino will provide leadership and administrative oversight to prioritize a culture of DEI across the school's hiring, retention, admission, and curriculum decisions. Reporting to Dean Panyam, she will build and implement a range of successful practices for supporting the faculty, staff, and students through a DEI lens and will be advised by Temple University and the school's DEI task forces.
Dr. Pulvino joined the Temple faculty in 2008 as a Clinical Assistant Professor and was promoted to Clinical Associate Professor in July 2014. In addition to her didactic teaching responsibilities, she is an APPE/IPPE and residency preceptor in Ambulatory Care. Her service contributions over time include but are not limited to a representative appointment on the Temple University Faculty Senate; service on the Research Recognition Day, Teaching and Evaluation, and Curriculum committees; and faculty advisor to Lambda Kappa Sigma.
Prior to coming to Temple, Dr. Pulvino had a diverse career in pharmacy having previously served as an Advanced Pharmacotherapy Specialist Advocate at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, a Clinical Pharmacist at Saint Margaret Mercy Healthcare Centers (Dyer, IN), and a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy.
Dr. Pulvino is a member of Temple's PharmD Class of 2001.
