R. Kyle Palmer, PhD, co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Opertech Bio, Inc., joined the Temple University School of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences as an adjunct professor effective January 2021. Dr. Palmer's current curricular responsibilities include ​Pharmacology 1 for PharmD PY1 students.

Trained as a classical pharmacologist, Dr. Palmer brings over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industries to the classroom. His specialized expertise includes chemosensory biology and ingestive behaviors, high throughput screening and drug discovery, lead optimization, behavioral pharmacology, metabolic diseases, and immunopharmacology.

Dr. Palmer received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan and has taught pharmacology for over 15 years at universities across Philadelphia.
