Dr. Rose Named Associate Chair of Pharmacy Practice

Christina Rose, PharmD, BCCCP, FCCM has been named Associate Chair of Pharmacy Practice effective February 1, 2022. Dr. Rose is a Clinical Professor in Pharmacy Practice and a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the medical Intensive Care Unit at Temple University Hospital. She developed the PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency program and currently serves as the Program Director.  

Dr. Rose joined the School of Pharmacy in 2008 from Temple University Hospital where she worked as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the surgery and burn intensive care units and as the Manager of Clinical Services and Education in the Department of Pharmacy. She co-coordinates the communication skills core course and is the coordinator of the clinical pharmacokinetics course as well as teaches in pathophysiology and therapeutics and co-coordinates the advanced clinical practice elective course and regularly offers a research elective for students. She served as the Collegial Assembly President-Elect from 2019-2020 and President from 2020-2021. In March 2020, she assisted in establishing the COVID-19 surge center at the Liacouras Center and co-led the pharmacy in that project.

Dr. Rose is an active member of the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology section of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Critical Care Practice Research Network. She is the editor of the 3rd edition of the text “Principles of Pharmacology for Respiratory Care”.  Her research areas of interest include the management of sepsis, pain, agitation and delirium and pharmacokinetic changes and beta-lactam monitoring in the critically ill.
