Post-Master's Certificates

Apply to a Post-Master’s Certificate

Application Deadlines: Aug 15 (fall), Jan 10 (spring), April 30 (summer)

Students must apply and be accepted into Post-Master’s Certificate program before registering.

Step 1. Review Certificate Options

Make sure you review all of the Post-Master's Certificate programs, so you select the one that best meets your career needs:

Advanced Quality Assurance or Advanced Regulatory Affairs
Global Pharmacovigilance:  Benefit-Risk Assessment
Clinical Trial Management
Medical Devices
Biopharmaceuticals and Generic Drugs
Good Manufacturing Practices for the 21st Century

Step 2. Apply and Submit Supporting Materials

Even if you received your M.S. from Temple’s QA/RA Program, you are still required to apply to the Post-Master's Certificate program before starting any courses.  You need to submit:

  • An application for your specific certificate to Temple’s QA/RA Office
  • A letter no more than two pages to Assistant Dean Wendy Lebing indicating which certificate you wish to pursue and which courses you intend to take to satisfy it, including two alternate courses

If your master’s is from a comparable, approved program from another accredited college or university, you must follow these additional requirements:

  • Take one additional course to complete the program
  • Submit copies of graduate transcripts from all schools attended
  • Submit a signed copy of your current resume or CV that indicates sufficient industry experience and familiarity with QA/RA concepts
  • Submit a TOEFL score if you are an international applicant or non-native English speaker
  • Submit an evaluation of foreign transcripts if you have foreign credentials (see International Admission Requirements)

Formal permission must be received from Assistant Dean Wendy Lebing on a case-by-case basis before you can enroll in any certificate courses at the post-master’s level.

Step 3: Request Certificate

Certificates are issued three times a year — Feb, June and Sept — and mailed out at the end of those months.

After completing all courses in your particular Post-Master’s Certificate Program, you must submit a Post-M.S. Notice of Completion to the QA/RA Office to receive your certificate. Deadlines are:

  • January 15 for certificates completed in Dec
  • May 15 for certificates completed in May
  • Aug 20 for certificates completed in the summer sessions
