Pre-Master's Certificates

If you have not yet earned a master’s degree from Temple’s RAQA program or another university, you can enroll in a Pre-Master’s Certificate Program.

The RAQA program offers 11 Pre-Master's Certificates.  We suggest you review them all, so you can select the one that is most relevant to your career goals.  Each has different course requirements that focus on a particular area of the pharmaceutical, device, or biotechnology industries.

Though you are welcome to apply for a certificate before you take courses, you do not need to do so. In fact, you may simply complete the required courses and formally apply for a Certficate as you finish the last course.  Just make sure that you enroll in each of the required courses for the certificate you seek:  if you do not intend to apply to the master's degree, you will not be allowed to continue taking courses beyond the number needed for the certificate.

If you are ever uncertain about which courses you need to take, please contact

  • Ms. Patricia Lee, Assistant Director of RAQA
  • 267.468.8562
  • leep1@temple.edu

To apply for a Pre-Master's certificate, you must submit

  • the application form (different for each certificate)
  • photocopies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts (original transcripts not required)
  • the Notice of Completion to the RAQA program by the stipulated deadlines

Certificates are issued three times a year

  • Jan 15 (for certificates from the previous fall semester)
  • May 15 (for certificates from the previous spring semester)
  • Aug 20 (for certificates from the previous summer semester)

Submit all required materials (hard copy only) to the RAQA Office by the deadline to:

Ms. Patricia Lee, Assistant Director
Temple University School of Pharmacy
RAQA Graduate Program
425 Commerce Drive, Suite 175
Fort Washington, PA  19034

Post-Master's Certificates

If you do already hold the M.S. in RAQA from Temple University or a master's degree or PhD from an accredited school,  you can pursue a Post-Master’s Certificate Program.

Each Post-Master's Certificate is designed to address a specific niche of the industry.  The Post-Master's Certificates in Advanced RA or QA even allow post-master's students to design their own course of study, selecting from any of the 70+ courses offered in Temple's Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance graduate program.

All students must formally apply to a Post-Master's Certificate before registering for courses.

To apply for a Post-Master's Certificate, please submit

  • the application form (different for each Post-Master's Certificate)
  • a letter addressed to the Assistant Dean explaining which courses you intend to pursue in your particular Post-Master's Certificate
  • photocopies of all undergraduate and graduate programs attended

Forward these materials (hard copy only) to:

Assistant Dean Wendy Lebing
Temple University School of Pharmacy
 RAQA Graduate Program
425 Commerce Drive, Suite 175
Fort Washington, PA  19034

Once you have completed the courses required for your Post-Master's Certificate, you must send the Notice of Completion to the RAQA Office.

Certificates are issued three times a year

  • Jan 15 (for certificates completed by Dec)
  • May 15 (for certificates completed by May)
  • Aug 20 (for certificates completed during the Summer Semester)

You may email (qarareg@temple.edu) or fax (267.468.8565) the Notice of Completion to the RAQA Office.
