Post-Master's Certificates

Post-Master’s Admission Requirements

Rolling Admissions: Request Certificate by Jan 10, May 10, Aug 10

Post-Master’s Certificates are offered to students who have already earned a master’s from Temple’s RAQA Graduate Program or an equivalent area of study at another accredited school.

Unlike Pre-Master’s Certificates, Post-Master’s Certificates require formal application and acceptance before enrollment. Certificate Programs have rolling admissions, so you can apply anytime.

Admission requirements are slightly different, however, for students who received their master’s degrees from Temple’s RAQA Graduate Program and those who received it from an equivalent program at another school.

If You Received Your M.S. From Temple’s RAQA Graduate Program

If you want to earn a Post-Master’s Certificate and you hold an M.S. from Temple’s RAQA Graduate Program, you must:

  • Submit an application for your particular certificate
  • Submit a letter of no more than two pages to Assistant Dean Wendy Lebing indicating your desired certificate program and the courses you will take to satisfy it, including two alternate courses
  • After completing all courses in your particular Post-Master’s Certificate Program, submit a Post-M.S. Notice of Completion to the RAQA Office by the certificate request deadline that applies to you

If You Received Your M.S. From Another School

If you want to earn a Post-Master’s Certificate and you hold a comparable, approved master’s degree from another accredited school, you must:

  • Take one additional course to complete the certificate
  • Submit an application for your particular certificate
  • Submit a letter of no more than two pages to Assistant Dean Wendy Lebing indicating your desired certificate program and the courses you will take to satisfy it, including two alternate courses
  • Submit copies of graduate transcripts from all schools attended
  • Submit a signed copy of your current resume or CV that indicates sufficient industry experience and familiarity with QA/RA concepts
  • Submit a TOEFL score if you are a non-native English speaker (see International Admission Requirements)
  • Submit an evaluation of foreign transcripts if you have foreign credentials (see International Admission Requirements)
  • After completing all courses in your particular Post-Master’s Certificate Program, submit a Post-M.S. Notice of Completion to the QA/RA Office by the certificate request deadline that applies to you

Formal acceptance is considered on a case-by-case basis by Assistant Dean Wendy Lebing.

Post-Master’s Certificates must be completed within three years with grades of B or higher earned in each course.

Deadlines to Request Certificates

Certificates are issued three times a year — in February, June and September. Received by deadlines for Post-M.S. Notices of Completion are:

  • January 10 for February certificates
