PharmD Degree

The PharmD Program leads to a Doctor of Pharmacy, a professional degree that prepares you for the Board of Pharmacy Licensure Examination and a future career as a pharmacist.

Graduate Programs:  Thesis Based (MS and PhD)

Thesis-Based MS and PhD Degrees: The master’s and doctoral degrees offered through TUSP are research-intensive graduate programs designed for students who want to pursue careers in the pharmaceutical industry, government agencies, research or academia. Master’s and doctoral degrees are offered in the Pharmaceutical Sciences in the following three areas of concentration:

Non-Thesis Graduate Programs

Our School of Pharmacy offers three non-thesis Master of Science programs in these areas:

  • Pharmaceutical Regulatory Sciences
  • Global Clinical and Pharmacovigilance Regulations 

M.S. in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance (RAQA)

The Master of Science degree in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance meets the needs of aspiring  professionals in the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and related industries who seek to develop their skills and knowledge of quality practices and regulatory compliance.  Its innovative curriculum and flexible scheduling are designed for industry professionals with demanding work schedules.  Prospective students can apply to the RAQA M.S. or one of the certificate programs -- or both.

M.S. in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Sciences (PRS)

The Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Sciences blends courses in pharmaceutical science with RA and QA concepts that assure safety, efficacy, and consistent performance of therapeutic products. Applicants must have a strong science background, which include an undergrduate or graduate degree in science or engineering.

M.S. in Global Clinical and Pharmacovigilance Regulations (GCPR)

The Master of Science is open only to students with PharmD degrees (accredited by ACPE) or students with MD degrees.  The curriculum focuses on regulatory and quality issues involved in global clinical trials as well as safety monitoring performed throughout a product's lifecycle.
