Pre-Master's Certificate in Labeling, Advertising, and Promotions

There continues to be a demand for regulatory professionals with demonstrated knowledge in labeling, advertising, and promotions.  This certificate provides that skill set.

Learn about the U.S. and global regulations governing the labeling, advertising, and promotions of pharmaceuticals and related products.

This Certificate discusses the complexity of the PI (Package Insert), showing how it must delineate every aspect of a product, from its dosage form to its unique storage requirements and dosage information. Topics include how the PI must be incorporated into print and Internet advertising and promotions for products and also discuss requirements of TV ads. Differences of regulations in key world markets are also discussed.

Post-Master's Certificate in Labeling, Advertising, and Promotions

Students who have received the M.S. in RAQA are eligible to complete the Post-Master's Certificate in Labeling, Advertising, and Promotions.  Courses taken for the completion of the M.S. degree will not count towards the Post-Maste'rs Certificate in Labeling, Advertising, and Promtions.  Students need to take four approved courses beyond the M.S. to receive the additional post-master's certificate in Labeling, Advertising and Promotions.  Students must apply for the certificate before starting the courses:

  • Regulation of Advertising and Promotions (5611)
  • Global Labeling Regulation (5532)
  • Advanced Topics in Labeling Development (5535)
  • Regulation of Non-Prescription Healthcare Products (proposed 5507)
  • Regulation of Dietary Supplements, Botanicals, and Nutraceuticals (5594)

Students who did not receive the MS in RAQA from Temple University are required to complete five approved courses to receive the Post Master's Certificate in Labeling, Advertising and Promotions. You must have sufficient industry experience and sufficient familiarity with basic tenets of RAQA to pursue the Temple U Post Master's Certificate in Labeling, Advertising, and Promotions.

You must apply before starting the program.Include a copy of your resume and a photocopy of your final transcript from the school where you received your doctoral or master's degree. Formal permission to pursue the Post-Master's Certificate in Labeling, Advertising, and Promotions must be received from the Assistant Dean before the student starts any courses in the Advanced Certificate program.
