Robert Frankil, ’85 to present 2016 Sprowls Lecture

Alumni & friends are invited to attend the 2016 Joseph B. Sprowls Lecture by Robert Frankil, ’85  at Noon on March 28th in Room 101 at the School of Pharmacy.   An independent pharmacist through most of his career, Robert has been an advocate for the pharmacy profession and the surrounding communities.  He is an active member of PPA and served as President of the Association for the 2012-13 term.  He is a member and Vice President of the Montgomery County Pharmacy Association and serves on the Board of Directors at the Philadelphia Association of Retail Druggists.  In 2014, he was appointed to the PA State Board of Pharmacy as a community-independent representative of the 1,200 independently-owned pharmacies in PA. 
Robert has been the owner of Sellersville Pharmacy since 1988 and the owner and pharmacist-in-charge of Skippack Pharmacy from 1983-2012.  Most recently, he became the owner of Sellersville Pharmacy at PENN foundation. 
The Pharmacy Alumni Association in conjunction with the School of Pharmacy annually presents the Joseph B. Sprowls Lecture Award to an outstanding individual who has achieved recognition within pharmacy for significant contributions to the profession as a distinguished practitioner, scientist and/or educator.  The Sprowls Lecture honors Dean Joseph B. Sprowls (1950-1967) for his many contributions to our School, University and profession.
